TOP FOLDING 5X7 CARD BASE TUTORIAL || Card Making for Beginners
Hello and welcome! Today’s video is a tutorial for how to make a top folding 5x7 card. I love top folding cards, but I buy 8.5x11 Cardstock which doesn’t accommodate a top folding 5x7 card. I’m finally sharing my trick for how to create a top folding card, simply by using a regular 5x7 card base! What You Need: ✿ Cardstock ✿ Paper Trimmer ✿ Score Board ✿ Adhesive (double sided tape or liquid glue) INSTRUCTIONS: 1. If you are using a pre-made side folding 5x7 card base, skip to Step 5. 2. Grab 1 piece of 8.5x11 Cardstock and, using your trimmer, trim to 7” x 10”. 3. Take the 7x10 piece you just cut and place that onto your score board, with your 10” side along the top. 4. Score at 5” and fold along the score line. 5. Place your 5x7 card into your trimmer, with the score against the trimmer blade. 6. Trim off a small sliver, with the intention of just trimming off enough to remove that score and give you two separate pieces of 5x7 pieces of cardstock. 7. Grab your score board and one of the two pieces of 5x7 cardstock. With the 7” side along the top of your score board, score at 1”. 8. Add your adhesive of choice to the top 1” strip, making sure to avoid adding adhesive to the score line. 9. Next, line up the two 5x7 pieces of cardstock as perfectly as you can and adhere the 1” strip to the un-scored 5x7 cardstock. 10. There you have your top folding 5x7 card! When decorating, make sure that you only decorate the side that does not have the score line or it will not stand properly. ___________________________________ LINKS: ✿ INSTAGRAM: / beyondbreation ✿ MY SHOP: https://www.etsy.com/shop/beyondbreation ___________________________________ MUSIC: / bensoundmusic Creative Minds • Background music for crafts videos | No Co...
