June 14, 2026, Urumqi, Xinjiang I spent three whole days in Urumqi repairing the dashboard of my RV. Every day, I watched the technicians working themselves to the bone. As the saying goes in the Minnan dialect: "Doctors are frightened by treating coughs, and soil and water are frightened by finding leaks." The same was true for repairing the vehicle's electrical system. Seeing them working nearly 12 hours a day, I felt bad about being demanding; I just wanted the RV fixed quickly so we could continue our journey.
