This is the recording of the talk and the discussion. Abstract Is there a connection between Gentile’s philosophy and his fascism? Many have thought there was; but was his fascism the logical outcome of his philosophy? This paper will examine a particular paper by Gentile, ‘The Transcending of Time in History’, relating it both to his theory of mind as pure act and also to R.G.
