Your Brain Is Built for Survival, Not Success — Use That

Everyone tells you to picture what you want. Damien argues that's only half the picture. In this episode he introduces the anti-vision: a clear image of the future you DON'T want, and how it drives you harder than any aspiration. Here's the logic. Your mind, body, and nervous system aren't built for greatness, they're built for survival. They're constantly scanning for threats. That means a huge share of your motivation already runs on fear and avoidance. Fighting that wiring rarely works. Using it does. So pair your vision board with an anti-vision board. What does it look like if you don't close that deal, hit that milestone, or reach that number? Sitting with that failure isn't negativity, it's a reality check that keeps you accountable and pulls in the people who can help. Align your survival instincts with your goals instead of against them. If your goals feel good on paper but keep stalling, this one's for you.
