We commissioned Kurt Bestor to write a pensive adagio that would embody the separation we feel when we feel far from God or far from home. So many of our musicians are currently serving missions far from the comfort of their homes and this music was intended to comfort and console them during times of loneliness. The masterful composition soon became one of our absolute favorites from the album. It feels like the middle movement of a great violin concerto yet to come. Caroline Campbell plays it with effortless grace. This was the World premiere recorded May 2019.
