TIG: KANEGRIP wire feeding technique
This is the ‘Kanegrip’ TIG Welding filler rod hand feeding process/technique. The filler rod is Held and Guided by the tips of the thumb & ring fingers by light-tensioned pressure. The index & middle fingers grip and push/feed the filler rod through the grip of the thumb/ring fingers, and into the weld puddle. (similar sensation to squeezing a syringe) This action is repeated along the tig welding process, & may reduce stop/starts mid weld. The technique may allow for faster welds by the ability to deposit more filler material per dab.
