真柏は、年間を通して自由に作業できるのも、魅力と人気の理由かと思います。 ただ、作業時期を選ばないということは、ともすると後回しにされがちで、 しばしば放置されてしまう樹種でもあります。 さて、今回は、昨年一年放置してしまった文人樹形の真柏２本を剪定しました。 茂りすぎて、風にいつも吹き転ばされているような木でした。 大胆な剪定で、ずいぶんすっきりとしましたよ。 ついでにシャリを掃除して、追加で削っておきました。 真柏は、いつも楽しい。 One of the charms of Shinpaku juniper bonsai is that it is a tree species that can be worked on anytime. This time, I pruned two juniper trees that I had neglected to care for last year. They were overgrown trees that were constantly being blown away by the wind. This time I gave them a bold pruning. This cleared the trees and solved the problem. In addition, I cleaned the dead part of the trunk called 'Shari' and peeled some bark.
