That is why today we will compare several popular Ukrainian brands in real-world work. We will immediately test 6 popular brands of rutile and rutile-cellulose electrodes of Ukrainian production. These are Monolit РЦ, Continent, Okta, Paton АNO-21, Maxweld, Arsenal MP-3, as well as Soviet-era electrodes of unknown production and quality that a colleague brought to me, and he doesn't even know where he got them from. We will see how they differ, which are easier to work with, and which are better suited for beginners. WHAT THESE ELECTRODES HAVE IN COMMON: ALL ARE 3 MM IN DIAMETER, WELDING CAN BE DONE ON ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC) AND DIRECT CURRENT (DC) OF BOTH POLARITIES, BUT REVERSE POLARITY IS RECOMMENDED. WELDING IS CARRIED OUT IN ALL POSITIONS EXCEPT VERTICAL DOWNHILL. PATON ANO 21 AND ARSENAL MP 3 ARE RUTILE COATED, AND THEY ARE USED TO WELD METAL UP TO 5MM THICK.
