GREATEST PORSCHE EVER! First Drive in New Cayman GT4 RS - Plus JCR Exhaust

I've been looking forward to this moment, my first drive in the new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS! Not just any GT4 RS, but this stunning car is finished in Ruby Star red, and features the JCR Race exhaust fitted. Is it a must buy? Let's find out. Having owned both the 981 Cayman GT4 and the 718 Cayman GT4, I've been following the rumours of the GT4 RS idea for many years through to it finally releasing late last year. Now the car is actually here though and the first deliveries have begun, it's time to see what it's actually like and whether this is the greatest car that Porsche have ever made. The GT4 RS takes the GT3's 4.0l NA flat-6 with 500hp and mates it to the corresponding 7spd PDK gearbox in a mid-engine configuration with heaps of downforce, Cup 2 tyres, and the most fabulous induction sound right over your shoulder. On paper, it ticks every box you could possibly want and potentially goes against Porsche's own attempts to stop the Cayman running amuck amongst 911s. However, thankfully they've let it happen and brought it to market. Thanks to JCR Developments for the introduction to the owner of this fantastic car, it's my turn to see what it's about. With a loaded full specification including cage and magnesium wheels, this car has already got full PPF to protect the fantastic PTS colour choice, a number of paint details on top, and even the full Race Exhaust system from JCR. The owner has not only taken delivery of one of the first cars, but already done 1,300 miles including 2 track days - huge respect for driving it as intended, and for allowing me the opportunity to drive it too. The induction sound is intoxicating, the spine-tingling feel of the JCR exhaust is mesmerising, and the GT4 RS is an slice of German perfection. What. A. Car.
