Lexical Verbs 5 Perfect Continuous Tenses
This is the last of the videos on tenses. All the 12 time divisions of the English verb have been covered in this and the preceding 3 videos on lexical verbs. Though the perfect continuous tense is rarely used, for complete mastery of English grammar it has to be learned. When learners are aware of the possibilities of the perfect continuous tense, they will be able to use them judiciously in contexts which demand their use exclusively. The video has a table showing the structure of the present, past and future perfect continuous form. This is followed by examples and usage of each of the three divisions. Finally an exercise is given to check whether the lesson has been understood.
