#universityofflorida #sg #ufstudentgovernment #ufsg According to the University of Florida Student Government website, the purpose of the UF Student Government Senate is to closely represent the views and ideas of the more than 60,000 students at the University of Florida. Meetings are every Tuesday in the Senate Chamber at 7:30 PM during the Fall and Spring Semesters, and 7:00 PM during the Summer Semester. Meetings are open to the public and are livestreamed on the official YouTube account. UFSG-SPAN conducted an audiovisual recording along with the compilation of small clips from the official livestream for the May 26, 2026 meetings after poor audio and visual quality had rendered the overall livestream for the meeting unwatchable. The goal of this initiative to ensure the public can watch all aspects of the Student Senate sessions and hold their elected representatives accountable to improve and innovate their existing technology for better livestreams.
