Mons. Angelo Comastri – Misteri dolorosi del Santo Rosario

From the Holy Rosary in St. Peter's, Msgr. Angelo Comastri ‗ ... Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel O St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle: be our aid against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God exercise his dominion over him, we pray in supplication. And you, O Prince of the heavenly host, with divine strength, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl the world seeking the ruin of souls. ‗ ... But Good Friday is not the last word: the last word is Easter, the triumph of Life, the victory of Good over evil. Lord Jesus, Holy Saturday is the day of emptiness, the day of fear and confusion, the day when everything seems to be over! But Holy Saturday is not the last day: the last day is Easter, the Light that is rekindled, the Love that conquers all hatred. Lord Jesus, as our Good Friday draws to a close and the anguish of so many Holy Saturdays is repeated, give us Mary's tenacious faith to believe in the truth of Easter; give us her clear gaze to see the flashes that announce the last day of history: 'a new heaven and a new earth' already begun in You, Jesus Crucified and Risen.
