What an absolutely brilliant day of aviation action at RAF Fairford on 5 June 2026! I spent the most of day filming, and the variety of aircraft that came and went was just incredible — one of the best sessions I’ve had here in a long time. The day kicked off with a pair of Boeing B-52H Stratofortress's taxiing out and departing on scheduled training flights — seeing these iconic heavy bombers in action never gets old, pure aviation history and power combined. Next up was the legendary Lockheed U-2S Dragon Lady, heading out for a planned 4-hour mission. Watching this high-altitude reconnaissance jet take off is always special; its unique shape and graceful climb are a sight every aviation fan waits for. Not long after it returned, two Rockwell B-1B Lancers fired up their engines and took to the skies too, also heading out on training sorties — the roar and speed of these supersonic bombers are unmatched! 🤩 To round off a perfect day, the afternoon finished with the arrival of a Boeing 747F Freighter, touching down with another load of supplies straight from the USA. The classic "Queen of the Skies" never fails to impress, especially when arriving at Fairford.
