SAR K245 review

This is the SAR K245, made by Sarsilmaz, a turkish gun manufacturer. It's imported by EAA (European American Arms) out of Rockledge, Florida. It's in .45 acp and is a variant of the CZ75 platform. It does have a barrel lockup more akin to a sig or glock, but other than that is very similar in operation to the CZ75 platform. The safety is not a decocker and works pretty much no matter what position the hammer is in, which is more akin to the Tanfoglio witness line of CZ75 variants. You can even charge the slide with the hammer back and safety on. This gun's fit and finish are top notch and it is well worth the 500+ dollar price tag. I paid around 460 out the door for mine, but I think I was just in the right place at the right time, I normally see them selling for 520 and up. Function of the gun is great, no fte, ftf, or jams of any kind. Recoil isn't bad, probably due to the weight of the gun. It is all steel and with 14 rounds of 230g 45 acp loaded up, it weighs almost 3 pounds or so. I don't know that this would be a good carry gun because of the size and weight, but definitely a great home defense gun. 45 is a manstopper round and since it has a front accessory rail a light could be mounted for those so inclined. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video, I did take it to the range and have comments and range pics at the end of the video (couldn't do video that day at the range), so make sure you watch it to the end for shooting impressions.
