Turning my cat into a $1,000 Designer Toy

She sleeps on my desk while I sculpt. So I turned her into an astronaut. In this video I take you through the entire process of bringing her to life: sketching the concept, sculpting in ZBrush, 3D printing on the HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex 2.0 Pro, printing the helmet visor in transparent PAT10 resin, post-processing, airbrushing her real fur pattern, hand-painting, and wiring the LED lighting inside the helmet. Every step, from her first pencil line to the final reveal. The transparent visor was the biggest challenge of the build. Getting 3D printed clear resin to true optical clarity takes a full process of its own, and you will see exactly how it is done with UltraGlaze coating.
