Age of Empires II intro 4K | fan made cinematic | Unreal Engine 5

Age of Empires 2 has always been one of my favorite games since childhood. Last year, I decided to bring my experience in VFX as a lead creatures and character modeler into the realm of Unreal Engine. I set out to create a full cinematic project in UE5, making the most of the fantastic free assets available as well as some I purchased. My main focus was on diving deep into learning the engine's capabilities. Over the past six months, I've been diving in and out of crafting this cinematic. It's been quite the adventure, from piecing together the breathtaking "Medieval Village" environment by the Epic team to handling the textures and rigging for the characters. I even dabbled in AI mocap using MoveAi and facial mocap with Metahuman Live Link. Now, I'm thrilled to say wololo!
