On Tuesday morning, a TGV train driver lost his life after a collision between his train and a truck at a level crossing in Pas-de-Calais. The truck driver was taken into custody for "aggravated manslaughter due to the deliberate breach of a safety obligation." How can this tragedy be explained? Should level crossings be made safer?
