The earth is replete with crimes. The violation of the first three commandments of God has angered my Father. The Holy Name of God has been blasphemed, and the Holy Day of the Lord profaned, saturated with countless iniquities. These sins have accumulated to the Throne of God and have provoked His wrath, which will soon erupt if His justice is not appeased. Never before have these crimes reached such a point.” Earlier, Sister Mary of Saint Peter had received a special communication from Our Lord on August 24, 1843: “He opened His heart to me, and gathering there the strength of my soul, He addressed me with these words: ‘My name is blasphemed everywhere. Even children blaspheme me.’ He made me understand that this dreadful sin wounds His Divine Heart more grievously than any other.” Through blasphemy, the sinner curses the Face [of God], attacks Him openly, nullifies redemption, and pronounces his own condemnation and judgment. Blasphemy is a poisoned arrow that always wounds His Divine Heart. He told me that He wishes to give me a Golden Arrow with which to wound His Heart with delight and heal those wounds inflicted by the malice of sinners.
