Melting, fluxing, and pouring lead into ingots (how to, step by step)

In an effort to be a little more self-sufficient, I have started to process lead to be used in reloading. There have been ammo shortages in the past, and I am sure there will be again in the future. In this how-to video, you will see how I melt, flux, and pour my lead into ingots. In this video I am melting plumbers lead. This lead would normally be melted, and poured into the joints of lead plumbing to solder the two pipes or pieces together. This type of lead is as close to pure lead as you will get, without buying pure lead of course. I am using a 3 pound ingot from Lee. It has 2 sections that are approximately 1 pound, and 2 sections that are approximately 0.5 pounds. Although, you will notice that I over pour the ingots, and all four sections get stuck together, resulting in 1 big ingot that weighs more than 3 pounds. I do this for ease of storage, as they are easy to stack this way. I can always break off sections as needed. I use a propane burner for a turkey fryer, slotted spoon, ladle, lead thermometer, ingot mold, and saw dust for flux. Don't forget to like and subscribe.
