Dave Leslie (Baby Animals) Interview with Victor Stranges of Pop Preservation Society

Dave Leslie is founding member and lead guitarist of Australian rock band, Baby Animals. He chats to Victor Stranges of Pop Preservation Society. The anecdotes are flying thick and fast in this all too interesting interview with stories from the road including touring with Van Halen and Bryan Adams. Dave talks about how he ended up having dinner at Frank Zappa's place with the Zappa family, and playing Jimi Hendrix's guitar. The stories continue with his insights about songwriting, production and recording with legendary record producers, Mike Chapman (Blondie, The Sweet, Suzi Quatro), Ed Stasium (The Ramones, Talking Heads, Motörhead, The Smithereens, Living Colour) and Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Powderfinger). As well as Dave's ongoing commitment to Baby Animals, he is currently finishing an album with rock 'n' roll afficianados, Truck. He plays in Raw Brit, who describe themselves as "purveyors of British 60s & 70s hard rockin’ bangers" and has recently picked up a Fender Precision bass for the upcoming 'Songs Of Elvis Costello' show (Victor Stranges & The Futurists).
