📜 🇮🇹 Questo video è un resoconto della festa patronale in onore di Maria di Costantinopoli, celebrata ad Aiello – Campomanfoli, frazione di Castel San Giorgio (SA). La festività si svolge il settimo martedì dopo Pasqua, due giorni dopo la Pentecoste, e rappresenta un momento di forte partecipazione per la comunità. La tradizione si lega a un racconto secondo cui la Vergine sarebbe stata salvata dagli angeli durante un assedio turco, proteggendola dalle fiamme e portandola in salvo. Per rievocare questo evento, dal 1930 viene realizzato un rito particolare: due ragazze, con in mano un giglio bianco, vengono sospese in aria tramite un sistema di fili e carrucole. Lentamente si muovono verso il centro della piazza intonando un inno sacro, che si conclude con il lancio dei fiori. La festa mescola fede, tradizione e spettacolo, trasformando la piazza in un luogo di intensa partecipazione e coinvolgimento. The celebration takes place on the seventh Tuesday after Easter, two days after Pentecost, and is an important moment of community participation. The tradition is linked to a story in which the Virgin was saved by angels during a Turkish siege, protecting her from the flames and carrying her to safety. To commemorate this event, since 1930, a unique ritual has been performed: two young girls, holding a white lily, are suspended in the air using a system of wires and pulleys. Slowly, they move toward the center of the square while singing a sacred hymn, which ends with the throwing of flowers. The festival blends faith, tradition, and spectacle, turning the square into a place of deep participation and engagement.
