D&C is a medical procedure in which the internal lining of the uterus is removed. The full form of D&C is Dilation and Curettage, and it involves two main steps that is discussed in this video. The D&C process is carried out for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. For diagnostic purposes, it is used to investigate causes of uterine bleeding, diagnose uterine cancer or fibroids, or identify conditions like endometrial hyperplasia, where the internal lining of the uterus becomes thickened.
