The Vampire Lestat's Jennifer Ehle & Sheila Atim Discuss the Show's Most Powerful & Dangerous Women

AMC's Interview with the Vampire immediately made waves when it premiered back in 2022, but with the show's official pivot into The Vampire Lestat, with a title change to match, another character is telling their side of the story. Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) is putting up with journalist and brand-new vampire Daniel Molloy's (Eric Bogosian) attempts to document his band's tour for now, but there are some parts of his past he's saving just for the viewer — including the true nature of his relationships with two of the most powerful and dangerous women in the season. Ahead of The Vampire Lestat's AMC premiere, Collider had the opportunity to speak with several members of the cast and crew, including Jennifer Ehle, who plays Lestat's mother and fledgling Gabriella, and Sheila Atim, who plays the ancient mother of all vampires, Akasha. In the interview above, the two discuss how they established their characters onscreen, from Akasha's powerful monologue to Gabriella's accent, the intensive makeup process Atim used to get into character to play the Queen of the Damned, and more. #thevampirelestat #interviewwithavampire #jenniferehle #sheliaatim #immortaluniverse For interviews, movie reviews, and more visit https://collider.com FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL   / collider     / collider     / collider
