We’re taking a legendary train ride into the heart of the mountain. it is the world’s only double-track cave railway. It first opened in 1872, initially pushed by hand, but today, these bright yellow electric trains whisk us deep into the darkness. A standard tour takes approximately 90 minutes and covers about 5 kilometers of the cave system. The journey begins with a 3.7-kilometer electric train ride that whisks you deep into the mountain through narrow tunnels and vast halls. After the train ride, visitors take a 1.5-kilometer guided walk over relatively easy, slip-resistant terrain.
