Solar Expanse #011 | Transitioning to hydrogen [NO COMMENTARY]

This time, we notice that conventional fuel has largely lost its usefulness - while it is still needed in large quantities to enable launches from the surfaces of planets like Earth or Mars, conventional chemical propulsion systems are simply not suitable for long-distance flights. For now, we rely on our technologically advanced electric engines, which, however, use rare noble gases for propulsion - there are still a few kilotons of these on Mars and Ceres, but our deposits will eventually run out. Hydrogen is the fuel of the future - both our nuclear-powered spacecraft and fusion-powered ships, which are currently still a distant dream, depend on it. So we are setting up two larger production facilities each on Luna and Deimos for electrolysis that will split water into hydrogen and oxygen.
