"This Heart of Mine" SIDE BY SIDE Concert & Movie.
I synced the Vintage 1945 MGM Technicolor film with the 2011 John Wilson's re-creation of the MGM studio orchestra arrangement. We watch a film and appreciate the talent... The sets and costumes fill the screen. The dancing and music fill our eyes and ears. What typically is unseen are the talented musicians of the orchestra and chorus performing brilliantly off-screen. In this video, we SEE IT ALL. The John Wilson Orchestra is made up of handpicked virtuosos. The 56 musicians are the best of the best. Also performing is solo singer Matthew Ford and The 36 member Chorus, the renown Maida Vale Singers. The live on-stage 2011 concert was performed before an audience of 4300 at the Royal Albert Hall, London. BBC Proms show title: "Hooray for Hollywood." Song title: "This Heart of Mine" Written for Fred Astaire. Music: Harry Warren. Lyrics: Arthur Freed. Featured in the 1945 film: "Ziegfeld Follies". I have obtained a re-mastered print of the original 1945 Technicolor footage converted to 1080p, HD resolution. I then synced this classic movie dance sequence to match the John Wilson Orchestra performance.
