Weaving on a Two Beam Loom, the Blanket of the Famous Bronze Age Girl. Egtvedpigens tæppe væves
At the Textile Workshop in Sagnlandet Lejre, Denmark, a copy of the blanket from the famous Egtved Girl's grave is being made. The Egtved Girl is exhibited at the National Museum in Copenhagen. At the find site in Egtved, Jutland, a new museum is being created and will tell the story of the Egtved Girl's daily life 3,500 years ago. The museum exhibition, which opens in the summer of 2026, will include the copy of the blanket. The outfit of the Egtved Girl is reconstructed in collaboration between Sagnlandet Lejre og Vejle Museerne, Denmark. This film has subtitles in English and Danish, (must be activated).
