The atmosphere of making merit by offering lunch and monastic necessities on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Wat Traimit Witthayaram. Wat Traimit Witthayaram, formerly known as "Wat Sam Chin," is an ancient temple in the Yaowarat area, built by three Chinese men. Later, during the Rattanakosin era, it was renovated and renamed "Wat Traimit Witthayaram." It houses the "Phra Phuttha Maha Suvarnapatimakon," or Luang Pho Thong Kham, the world's largest solid gold Buddha statue, which was accidentally discovered in 1955 under a stucco structure. It is enshrined within the "Phra Maha Mondop Phra Phuttha Maha Suvarnapatimakon" and serves as a center of faith for Thai people and Thai-Chinese in the Yaowarat area, as well as an important religious and cultural tourist attraction in Bangkok.
