Edith Stein und das Geheimnis der Stellvertretung – Vortrag von Prof. DDr. Gerl-Falkovitz

Edith Stein (1891-1942) gave her life in Auschwitz for others and also "for Germany," as she wrote in her will in 1939. We, the generations born later, are compelled to answer for the guilt of our ancestors—but this country also rests on the shoulders of many martyrs. Christians are offered a possibility that "the world does not have": to reach the dead, to offer atonement for the perpetrators, to pray for healing for the victims. From what sources does such forgiveness spring? Apparently from a faith whose secret Edith Stein grasped "for us."
