Those affected are discreetly taken to a secure, cordoned-off area in the terminal, away from the public eye. There they wait until their charter flight is ready for departure at the gate. The Federal Police are responsible for the deportations, which are accompanied by several organizations and doctors. It's an operation that often pushes everyone involved to their physical and mental limits. We have exclusive access to witness the processing of a deportation flight. Special vehicle at the airport: Bus driver Gerald Trapp operates a platform lift vehicle specially developed for the airport.
