EDDYSTONE STEAM LOCOCMOTIVE 34028 IN WEST CORNWALL 4K DRONE

Eddystone is an ex Southern Railway pacific (4-6-2 wheel arrangement). Built at Brighton works in 1946. It was numbered 21C128 and worked on Kent Coast services. On nationalisation of the railways it became BR number 34028 and was transferred to Exmouth Junction working the Devon Belle and Atlantic Coast expresses. Originally built with streamlined boiler casing it was rebuilt into its present form in 1958 and after that worked regularly on the famous Somerset and Dorset route to Bath. It was withdrawn in 1962 and sent to Woodhams scrapyard in Barry where it stayed for 22 years. Eventually restored it spent many years on heritage railways and in October 2024 it was decide overhaul it for mainline running which has meant fitting it with all modern safety equipment. It returned to service in September 2025. Filmed over 2 days by drone...using 2 drones ...a DJI mini 5pro for the shots where the drone weight needed to be minimal and a Mavic 4 pro when out at sea and not near people ! I dont believe anyone else got drone footage at these locations as far as I am aware.
