Lipid Bilayer (Cell Membrane) Modeling & Animation : Tutorial

This tutorial shows the process of creating a lipid bilayer in 3DS Max. A lipid bilayer is the thin polar membrane that surrounds all cells. We will create an individual lipid and then copy them such that they form a continuous structure. We'll then apply a wave spacewarp to achieve the motion of a cell in liquid. We'll add a few structures including a protein channel and glycoproteins. We'll finish up by covering some basic falloff materials and a simple image based lighting setup.
