AquaMagis Plettenberg - ShootingSTAR [NEW] POV! Germany's TALLEST Body Slide

Take a ride on the ShootingSTAR water slide at AquaMagis Plettenberg in Germany! After several delays, the construction works for the new high-speed body slide have finally been finished. Being more than 73ft (22 m) tall, Shooting Star is the tallest body slide in the entire country. The ride is situated atop the existing slide complex in the open - if you wish to ride ShootingSTAR, you have to exit the slide tower through a door which is located on the top floor. From there, riders use the new circular staircase leading to the slide. After passing through the turnstile, guests have to lay down and cross their arms and legs before starting their ride. The first part of the ride is very slow and the acrylic glass section allows for some nice views of the surrounding mountains. Before plunging down the much anticipated drop, riders pass through a giant star which is a nice feature. The drop is extremely fast and the mountain backdrop somehow intensifies the sense of speed. After just a few seconds, guests reach the shallow runout lane where they come to a stop. While the landing is pretty rough, it is smoother than expected for such a high slide. Recorded during testing/commissioning. The slide is scheduled to open on May 28th. ShootingSTAR is not included in the admission.
