El turrón de Jijona
• Gastronomía, elaboraciones culinarias y alimentación La Villa de Jijona (Alicante) es mundialmente conocida por ser el lugar donde se elabora el turrón, un dulce tradicionalmente navideño que se obtiene a partir de almendras que se tuestan, a las que posteriormente se añade clara de huevo, miel y azúcar. Este dulce se originó en las comunidades árabes en el siglo XV y se mantiene su tradición hasta el día de hoy, habiéndose creado muchas variedades de turrón en las últimas décadas.
