Macross PLUS: An Experiment that will (Probably) NEVER Happen Again | Macross Plus Exploration

MACROSS PLUS is a super experimental work of art aimed towards an older audience that marked the triumphant return of creator Kawamori to the franchise. It was released in 1994 for the tenth anniversary of Do You Remember Love? with a plot that was miles away from the original intergalactic war between humans and zentradi. My name is Absa, and in this video I'll try to explore why Macross Plus is one of the most experimental stories in the Macross Universe, not only because it was concieved as a nineties OVA's with all that that entails, but also because it goes above and beyond what was previously understood as "Macross".
