Albert Camus and Jean-Paul Sartre are figures who shaped the two main currents of 20th-century existentialist thought. Although these two once shared a friendship and highly praised each other's works, they eventually parted ways philosophically due to differing interpretations of humanity. In this lecture, I intend to explore this topic and reflect on the significance of human freedom and resonance for us today.
