In Burkina Faso, the people pooled their own resources, built processing plants from the ground up, and locked their raw materials inside their borders to feed their own infrastructure. Community funded. Collectively owned. Structurally sound. In America, nearly the same amount was raised in the name of Black Wall Street — and one man spent it on himself while 15,000 investors watched their trust evaporate. Same impulse. Same willingness to believe in something bigger. Completely different leadership on the other end of that investment.
