Once home to many more people, today only a small number of residents remain, making Corippo one of the most unusual villages in Switzerland. This abandoned-looking Swiss village has not completely disappeared. Old houses, quiet alleys, local history, and the new Albergo Diffuso project all tell the story of a place that almost became a ghost village, but found a new way to stay alive. The Verzasca Valley is known for its dramatic mountain scenery, stone villages, turquoise river, and peaceful traditional atmosphere.
