How to Stain over Paint, I used Country Chic Paint and Verathane stain in Kona.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to paint it and stain it! For this technique, I used two coats of Country Chic Paint in Simplicity and once it was dry (not cured) I stained over it with Verathane in Kona. In order to stain any surface, plastic, veneer, wood finished surface, etc without sanding down all you need is a porous surface to absorb the stain. Step one is to prep your surface with scuff sanding with 100-150 grit sandpaper, you then will clean your surface with rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol followed by rinsing it off with clean water. Once you have completed these steps you are ready to paint and stain! You can accomplish this stained top with the clay-based Country Chic Paint!
