DIY Diatone P-610 Clones | MeloDavid Fullrange + SABA SRI-16
A week of after-hours fun. 18 mm MDF cut to size, wood glue, veneer, paint, soldering RLC crossovers, upholstery foam for damping, oiling the veneer, assembling everything together - and VOILA! My own DIY speakers based on MeloDavid fullrange drivers (yes, from China!). These are clones of the legendary Mitsubishi Diatone P-610. This time built in 24.75L cabinets. I tested them with K+H ES-20, then Revox, SABA Automatic, and finally the SABA SRI-16. They pair beautifully with a dark-sounding tube amp, as heard in this recording.
