Amor y Traición En Una Misma Mesa...

🍷 Holy Thursday: The Supper of Love that Gives Everything A night like no other. In a small upper room in Jerusalem, Jesus sat at the table with his disciples, knowing it was the last time before his Passion. It wasn't just any supper… it was the beginning of a new covenant, an act of eternal love, humility, and revelation. It was the moment when Heaven drew near to the bread and wine. 🕊️ 📖 In this video, we relive one of the most sacred moments of the Christian faith: The Last Supper. There, Jesus not only shared his table, but also instituted the Eucharist, washed his disciples' feet, and gave them a new commandment: to love as he has loved us. It was the night the Master became a Servant, and the bread became his body given up for us. 💬 What will you find in this message? 🍞 A Love Broken Like Bread Jesus took the bread and broke it, saying, “This is my body.” He took the chalice and said, “This is my blood of the new covenant.” These were not symbolic words: they were the living anticipation of the cross. In every Eucharist, this mystery continues to unfold. Christ gives himself for you, today and forever. 🧼 A Humility That Bewilders The King of kings knelt before the dirty feet of his friends. He washed their feet, even Judas’s. What kind of love is this? It is the love that serves, that does not seek honors, that chooses the lowest path to lift others up. Jesus gave us an example so that we may do the same: “Blessed are you if you do” (John 13:17). ⚔️ A Betrayal in the Midst of Love In the midst of the bread and wine, there was also bitterness. Jesus knew that one of his own would betray him. He did not reject him. He offered him his bread. He loved him to the very end. He also told Peter that he would deny him… and yet, he later restored him. The Last Supper reminds us that, even in our weakness, Jesus never stops calling us to his table. 🔥 A New Commandment Before departing, Jesus left an eternal legacy: “Love one another as I have loved you.” A love that depends not on feelings, but on a decision. To love as he did is to love without measure, without conditions, without reservations. That is the hallmark of a true disciple. 🌿 A Gethsemane Awaiting Us After the supper, Jesus went to the garden to pray… and to sweat blood. There he surrendered his will: “Father, not my will, but yours be done.” Holy Thursday also calls us to live our own Gethsemane: times of deep prayer, of spiritual struggle, of total surrender to the will of God. ✨ A Message for Today Holy Thursday is not just history. It is a living call. Jesus continues to set the table. He continues to break the bread. He continues to wash our feet. And He continues to ask: Will you stay for dinner with Him? Will you receive Him in the Eucharist? Will you serve as He served? Will you love as He loved? 🙌 This Holy Week can be different if you sit at the table with the Master and let His love transform your life from within. 📌 Don't forget to subscribe to God Wants to Speak to You and activate the bell 🔔 to follow this special Holy Week series that began with Palm Sunday and will end gloriously in the Resurrection. ✍️ Tell us in the comments: What part of this night speaks most to your heart?
