Marshmallow nougat
A favourite snack enjoyed by The Tool It Guy can now enjoyed by all. Dive into this sticky mess of a recipe, the era it came from and enjoy a little taste of nostalgia. SUBSCRIPTION LINK: / @thetoolitguy RECIPE 1 bag of marshmallow 1 small bag of white chocolate chips 1 small bag of jujubes 1 tsp of vanilla 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter INSTRUCTIONS Prep Pyrex dish with wax paper. Cut jujubes into halves or quarters and set aside. Using the double boiler method on low heat, melt the margarine or butter. Add the white chocolate chips to the melted butter and mix until melted as well. Once melted, add the marshmallows until they are a melted uniform blob. DO NOT STOP MIXING as the ingredients can easily burn. If using the microwave method, place margarine or butter in a plastic bowl with the marshmallows, and white chocolate chips. Microwave for 30 second intervals, mixing thoroughly in between until you have a uniform melted blob. When the mixture is close, switch to 15 second intervals. Add the vanilla jujubes and once again mix. Pour the mixture into the prepped Pyrex dish. using a greased spatula, spread the nougat mixture evenly to the edges of the dish. Put the nougat in the fridge for 6 hours to set. Once set, flip the nougat onto a cutting board and remove the wax paper. Using a large greased knife, cut the nougat into small equal pieces. Store the nougat in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
