Antropologia e evolucionismo

Marked by the evolutionary debate, 19th-century anthropology favored social Darwinism, which considered European society at the time to be the culmination of an evolutionary process, in which aboriginal societies were considered "more primitive" examples. This view used the concept of "civilization" to classify, judge, and subsequently justify the dominance of other peoples. This way of viewing the world based on the civilizational concept of superiority, ignoring differences in relation to peoples considered inferior, is called ethnocentrism. #anthropology #evolutionism
