I was recently researching ancient Native American history in the Southwest when I came across a remote and mysterious canyon. After digging deeper, I learned that the canyon was formerly home to hundreds and possibly thousands of Native Americans. The petroglyphs, pictographs, granaries, and various other artifacts that can still be found throughout the canyon today serve as a testament to the previous inhabitants of the region. What makes this place all the more interesting is that this ancient civilization was hidden on private land for centuries and no one knew it existed.
