We got caught in a mountain hail storm

This week we’re hitting the road for a massive 1800km (1000 plus miles) trip down to Banff National Park and back. Last week was all about getting the Harley ready, and this week we’re putting those miles to the test. It wasn’t all scenic mountain views though we got caught in some of the most miserable rain and hail I’ve ever ridden in. Wait until you see the hotel we stayed at in Canmore. For $500 a night, you’d expect a lot more than water pouring out of the ceiling. Total dump! Despite the "leaking" situation and the expensive gas prices, riding through the Rockies is exactly what these Street Glides were made for. Thanks for tagging along on the ride! In this video: Riding the Harley-Davidson Street Glide through Banff National Park. Dealing with extreme weather: Hail and heavy rain on a motorcycle. The $500 hotel room disaster at Silver Creek Lodge. Scenic mountain views and abandoned roadside stops.
