Legacy: Her contributions are recognised in literary histories like Anisur Rahman's History of Urdu Poetry, and she was married to the prominent writer and World Punjabi Congress (WPC) Chairman, Fakhr Zaman. ਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਾ ਹਬੀਬ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 1949 ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਹਬੀਬ ਕੈਫ਼ਵੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਲੇਖਕ ਫਖਰ ਜ਼ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਬੀਵੀ ਸੀ । ਫੌਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਾ ਹਬੀਬ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਾਵਿ-ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਪਾਹ ਤੇ ਚਾਨਣੀ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਇਸਤਾ ਹਬੀਬ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਰਾ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਨੂਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਅੰਗ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਥਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ :- ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਤੇ ਚਿੜੀ  ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਏ  ਨਿੱਕੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਕੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ  ਨਿੱਕੇ ਨਿੱਕੇ ਚਾਅ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਢਿੱਡ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ  ਉਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਨਸੀਬ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ  ਪਿੰਡ ਦੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਤੇ ਚਿੜੀ  ਹੁਣ ਸੋਚਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ਏ । #poetry #literature #punjabi #recitation #pakistan #punjabipoetry #feminist
