Iodometric Titration: Simple Explanation
How do Iodometric Titrations work? 1. Add a bunch of I-, which gets oxidized to I2. 2. Add thiosulfate to reduce the I2 back to I- 3. Add a little starch. If any I2 remains, the solution will be blue, because starch complexes with I3- (which is I2 + I- in solution). Check me out and ask me stuff: http://www.chemistnate.com
