‘The Sack’ is a series of performances in which Chung explores the interplay between the Body and a Sack to create an imaginative space within performers and audiences in different contexts and cultures. A sack- an object used in everyday life transformed into something beyond itself. It sometimes might be a closet? A space for confession? or even a thing to cover one's identity? ‘The Sack: no.1’ ” was created during Chung's stay in U.S, in part of The International Choreographers Residency, American Dance Festival at Duke University.
