The Garden Finally Woke Up
A tropical garden in New York officially enters summer chaos. This week the koi are creating havic in the pond, the fountain is finally running again, giant tropical plants move back outside, and the garden starts changing by the hour. I’m planting, digging, trimming, moving palms, setting up the vegetable garden, dealing with invasive plants, checking on winter damage, and somehow bringing home another palm tree that probably should not live in Zone 6B. Naturally. In this episode: 🌴 Moving the last tropical plants outside 🌺 Plumeria and flowers go into the garden 🐟 Koi ⛲ Setting up the summer fountain 🌱 Vegetable garden progress 🍇 Did the grape vine survive winter? 🌴 Replacing a problem palm tree 🌿 Bamboo trimming and invasive plant talk 🍊 Flying Dragon orange has fruit 🌴 A surprise Bismarck palm arrives Welcome back to the tropical garden experiment that continues to confuse both my neighbors and the climate.
