Final Touches: Dino 246 GT Restored & Road-Tested! Part 4 | Tyrrell's Classic Workshop

Welcome back to Tyrrell's Classic Workshop for the much-anticipated final instalment of the Dino 246 GT restoration journey. This episode marks the culmination of our meticulous restoration process, where every detail has been lovingly attended to, bringing this classic beauty back to its former glory. We begin with Iain, the seasoned Engine-Whisperer, in the workshop, fine-tuning the carburettors—an essential step before the Dino’s maiden voyage. With a screwdriver and hosepipe in hand, Iain adjusts the idle mixture, listening intently to the engine's every murmur, ensuring everything is in perfect harmony. Then, it’s time to hit the road. Join Iain as he takes the Dino out for its first shakedown run since the restoration. Navigating the usual test route, with Iain’s expert eye and ear on alert for any nuances that need addressing. This initial journey is crucial, allowing the team to fine-tune the car to perfection. Back at the workshop, Iain compiles his findings and sets about rectifying the most urgent issue noted during the test drive — the coolant temperature anomaly. It’s these final touches that showcase the care and precision that go into every project at Iain Tyrrell Classic Cars. This series has not only been a showcase of classic car restoration but a testament to the passion and dedication that drives us. We hope you've enjoyed this journey as much as we have.
